San Andreas State Auditor
Emily Bergman serves as the State Auditor for the State of San Andreas, having been appointed by the San Andreas General Assembly in 2022. As State Auditor, Ms. Bergman leads the Department of Audits with a commitment to transparency, accountability, and fiscal integrity across all levels of state government.
Ms. Bergman brings extensive experience in public finance, performance auditing, and organizational leadership to the State Auditor’s Office. Prior to her appointment, she spent over a decade serving in senior audit and budget oversight roles within both state government and the private sector. Her work focused on evaluating financial operations, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring efficient use of public resources.
Before her appointment as State Auditor, Ms. Bergman served as Deputy Director of the San Andreas Treasury Department, where she oversaw statewide audit coordination and developed risk-based auditing frameworks that improved audit effectiveness and responsiveness. Her collaborative approach helped establish strong partnerships with legislative committees, state agencies, and local governments.
A recognized leader in government accountability, Ms. Bergman has also served as an adjunct instructor in public administration and auditing at San Andreas State University, mentoring emerging professionals in ethical financial stewardship and analytical best practices.
Ms. Bergman holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from San Andreas State University and a Master of Public Administration from Westmont University. She is a Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP) and a member of the National State Auditors Association.
In her role as State Auditor, Ms. Bergman is dedicated to advancing the public’s trust through rigorous, impartial audits that promote operational excellence and fiscal responsibility throughout the State of San Andreas.
